Acer x freemanii / Freeman Maple 'Autumn Blaze'

Freeman maple, a hybrid between Silver Maple and Red maple, is a fast growing tree (3 to 5 feet a year!) with a knockout fall red color. This maple is widely adaptable and grows between 40 and 70 feet tall with a spread of 35-40 feet at maturity. It is one of the first tree species to flower in the springtime, with clusters of tiny red flowers welcoming the changing of the seasons.  This species prefers full to partial sun and acidic to neutral soils.
