Poncirus trifoliata / 'Flying Dragon' Sour Orange

Did you know there's a citrus plant that's hardy to our area? Behold, Sour Orange! This large and thorny shrub produces very sour citrus fruit with a flavor that combines lemon and grapefruit. It's not usually eaten raw, but has great flavor when cooked, along with having high medicinal value. Use it for making jams, marmalade, and the like. 

Grows 5-8 ft tall and prefers full sun to part shade and any soil as long as it's well draining.
