Populus deltoides / Eastern Cottonwood

A large, fast growing tree, Populs deltoides usually grows 50-80 feet tall, but can reach up to 120 feet in the right conditions. Those conditions would be a wet area near a stream or pond in full sun. Eastern Cottonwoods are aptly-named for their cotton-like seed dispersal that typically happens in late spring/early summer.
