Crispy and juicy round fruits. Asian pears are a good choice because of their tough skin which can resist many pests that apples cannot. These trees can easily become overloaded with fruit, bending the tree or wors e breaking branches. Thin the fruit to reduce this risk as well as grow larger and tastier fruits. Plant delivery is free within the City of Beacon. Deliveries outside the City of Beacon are by a $65/hour fee, which includes travel and placement of material.
