Sambucus nigra / 'Korsor' Elderberry
Couldn't load pickup availability
A large shrub growing about 12 feet tall and almost as wide, Elderberry explodes with white flowers in June which turn into the small black berries you see here. Known for its immune boosting qualities, Sambucus nigra is used to make a diverse array of treats and remedies including elderflower champagne, elderberry wine, and elderberry syrup. Though this species is native to Europe, it provides similar production and use to that of our native Sambucus canadensis. ‘Korsor’ produces large, heavy fruit clusters and is prized for juicing.
