Vaccinium oxycoccos / Bog Cranberry
Couldn't load pickup availability
Vaccinium oxycoccos is widespread in the cool temperate northern hemisphere. “Bog” is not just cute, it’s the truth; to thrive this plant requires bog conditions, which include high moisture, low nutrients, low oxygen, and acidic soils. Plant in a wet spot, add peat moss, and add pelletized sulfur to bring down the ph if needed. Small, but evergreen with showy red berries, Bog Cranberry would make a beautiful addition to a garden pond or wetland habitat design and is an important food source for wildlife.
