Yucca filamentosa / Adam's Needle

If you have a hot, dry slope where many plants refuse to grow, plant some Adam’s needle! Though native to more southern states in the U.S., it grows very well in the Hudson Valley. 5 to 8 foot stalks of large flowers emerge from sword-like foliage in early summer.
