Actaea racemosa / Black Cohosh
Couldn't load pickup availability
Also known as bugbane, black cohosh has long been used for its insect repellent properties. It also is widely used in the herbalist trade for feminine care and improving mental well-being. It loves shade and moisture, where it will grow 4-6’ tall with wide bunches of attractive, astilbe-like foliage. Produces long stalks of white flowers in the middle of summer, making it a valuable plant for the mid-summer lulls when most shade plants aren’t blooming.
