Adiantum pedatum / Maidenhair Fern

The Maidenhair Fern is native to rich wooded slopes in the Northeast, where its fronds appear to float gracefully above the ground. Growing only 1-2ft tall and spreading underground via rhizomes, they are great for naturalizing an area, as long as it's shaded and protected from the wind.
