Aronia melanocarpa / Black Chokeberry 'Viking Black'

An adaptable and beautiful shrub, Aronia arbutifolia is a great addition to your landscape. White flowers become black berries which are edible when cooked, or great food for birds. Bright red foliage in Autumn. Black Chokeberries are more medicinal than red, with higher antioxidants and many health benefits. Grows in dry to wet soils, in full sun to part shade. Grows 6 to 8 feet tall. ‘Viking Black’ is particularly vigorous and produces a high yield. You can’t go wrong with Aronia.
