Calendula is sure to bring you a smile. An easy-to-grow annual, Calendula produces an abundance of large, yellow to orange flowers resembling marigolds. It stays low at 1-2 feet and prefers full sun and well drained soil. Deadhead flowers to elongate bloom time. The leaves and flowers are edible, albeit somewhat bitter. Herbalists use Calendula when caring for wounds and other skin issues.
