Cercis canadensis / Eastern Redbud

Eastern Redbud is one of the trees that takes your breath away. Because the soft pink, pea-like flowers emerge before the leaves in spring, it is absolutely stunning, both up close and from afar. Even better, it is a relatively low maintenance tree that thrives in many conditions. It does best in full sun and average soil, but can tolerate some wet soil or a little drought. This small tree grows around 20-30 feet tall.
