Doellingeria umbellata / Flat-topped Aster
Couldn't load pickup availability
While most asters don’t bloom until late summer, you can get a head start by planting flat-topped aster! This meadow species produces a cluster of small, white flowers that attract a diverse selection of pollinators. Because the roots spread rather quickly by rhizomes, this is a species best suited for naturalizing. Grows best in full sun to part shade in consistently moist soil. Rabbits and gamebirds like the taste of the foliage, so be sure to protect flat-topped aster while it establishes.
