Ilex verticillata / Winterberry 'Red Sprite'

lex verticillata provides stunning bright red berries in the wintertime that are beautiful and can be an important food-source for birds in the winter. Red Sprite is a female Winterberry which gets the bright red berries. It is a compact cultivar that gets 3 to 5 ft tall. You must have a male Winterberry, such as 'Jim Dandy' planted nearby to pollinate the “Red Sprite” and get berries . Plant in full sun to part shade in medium to wet soils.
