Lobelia cardinalis / Cardinal Flower

Lobelia cardinalis is known as the cardinal flower and is a stunning native perennial to add to the wet areas of your garden. It grows between 4 and 5 feet tall and produces distinctive crimson flowers. A late summer bloomer, the cardinal flower is a pollinator magnet! Hummingbirds, butterflies, and other beneficial insects love the tubular flowers. This plant will tolerate full sun if the soil is kept moist, but prefers partial shade.
