Populus tremuloides / Quaking Aspen
Couldn't load pickup availability
Meet the largest living organism on Earth (yes, really). Reproducing mainly by producing clones that grow from existing roots, Populus tremuloides stands can populate entire mountainsides, yet in reality their underground connections are really all extensions of the same living tree. A single Quaking Aspen can reach 50' tall and 20-30' wide at maturity, and it is a fast growing species, climbing up to 2 feet in new growth per year. Populous tremuloides have smooth bark and produce stunning yellow fall color, but their most notable trait are the delicate shuddering movements of their leaves which shimmer in the slightest breeze.
