Rosa virginiana / Virginia Rose

Fast growing, suckering native shrub with soft pink flowers and edible fruit. Put the medicinal fruit in jams and jellies to prolong the enjoyment of this plant throughout the year. Does well in poor soils, though best flowering occurs with more fertile ones.
