Salvia rosmarinus / Rosemary
Rosemary is a splendid annual herb with a variety of uses, including ornamentally as a container plant, medicinally for its supposed calming and anti-inflammatory effects, and culinarily as an ingredient in many Mediterranean dishes. Soft gray-green foliage emits a lovely but sharp, woodlike flavor out of this fine herb. Though rosemary is not hardy to our area, you can still grow it outside in a container and bring it inside during the cold season. It requires full sun wherever you place it, so supplementing with grow lights may be necessary.
