Viburnum prunifolium / Blackhaw Viburnum

Bearing some of the most flavorful fruit of the many native viburnums, Blackhaw tows the line between shrub and tree, typically reaching heights of 12-15 feet. The flowers are showy and attract pollinators, and the fruit will feed the birds as well as humans, depending on who gets to them first! Can be used as a tall hedge, or mixed with other shrubs. Plant two for fruit. 

This Viburnum is particularly drought-tolerant once established. Can be planted in full sun to part shade in medium to dry soils.
