'Brianna' variety is known to produce medium to large sized clusters of greenish-gold colored seeded grapes in mid September. The fruit is sweet and fruity with thick skin. Excellent for fresh eating or creating wine. Vines are particularly vigorous and cold hardy up to Zone 4. Vines are self fertile, but will benefit from cross pollination, and fruit production typically happens on the third year of growth.
Plant in an area with at least half a day of full sun, although full direct sun is best, in rich soil with excellent drainage (avoid clay soil). Multiple plants can be planted 6-8' apart. Grapes require the support of a trellis or arbor, protection from birds, and detailed pruning in order to get the best fruit yields. Pruning should be done during inter dormancy before buds swell. We recommend Lee Reich’s books Grow Fruit Naturally and The Pruning Book for more information.
